"The Indian Reservation is FULL of abandoned dogs. About 80% of them end up getting hit by cars, 10% of them get sick and the other 10% end up starving to death. The problem with this is that no one out there (or in my town) cares enough to go out there and at least save one life.
My boyfriend has been driving out to Kaibeto since we started dating (April) and has been seeing this dog for about four months now. When he first saw her, she was lactating and her belly was sagging as if she had just had puppies. She was also VERY skinny and had a large wound. He started feeding her every time he saw her. At first, she would slowly walk up to him in a nervous sort of way. Soon, she started laying next to him and falling asleep every time he went out for a smoke break as if that was the only way she felt safe...
Why don't we just go pick her up right now and rescue her? Because we don't have the money to get her shots..."
If you are willing, even a dollar can help them save a life.
I hope you're all having a wonderful fall! Enjoy your holidays ahead.
